Deleting your account

01Delete your account in the app

The fastest route — it takes seconds and needs no contact with us:

• Open Ognik and sign in to the account you want to delete.
• Go to the Profile tab.
• Choose “Delete account” and confirm in the dialog.

The account and its data are deleted immediately. This cannot be undone — there is no recycle bin to restore it from.

02Request deletion by email

If you no longer have access to the app, email support@ognik.app from the address your account uses, with “Delete account” in the subject line. We action such requests within 30 days at the latest and confirm by email.

Any other form of contact works too — the above is simply the quickest for us to verify.

03What we delete

• Account: email address, display name and avatar.
• Workouts, training plans and calendar.
• Ride recordings with the full trace of power, heart rate, cadence and speed.
• Measurements and goals: weight, height, FTP, resting and maximum heart rate, HRV.
• Your Strava connection along with the stored access token.

04What remains, and for how long

• Database backups: your account may briefly persist in daily backups, which roll over on a 30-day cycle. After that it is gone from those too. Backups are used solely to restore the service after a failure.
• Crash reports: they contain neither your email address nor health data and are not linked to your account, so there is nothing in them to delete.
• Accounting records: if you ever bought a paid subscription, we keep the accounting documents for the period required by Polish tax law, regardless of account deletion.

Workouts previously sent to Strava stay on your Strava account — deleting your Ognik account does not remove them. Delete them on Strava's side.

05Unused accounts

An account nobody signs in to for 12 consecutive months is deleted automatically along with all its data. We warn by email 30 days and 7 days before the deadline — signing in before it passes restarts the clock.
